Diogo Pedro
“I’d rather be invited to blindness than to be able to see and be blind my whole life.”
“Being grateful is what allows me to be there for others”
Diogo Pedro begins his talk with a simple yet profoundly transformative idea: looking closely at our own lives can help us discover the values and lessons that truly guide us.
And when you do this exercise, there’s one word that keeps coming up: gratitude.
He often jokes that his girlfriend says he was “born with his back to the moon.” And, looking back on his life, he recognizes that he’s had many invisible privileges: a close-knit family, constant love, strong relationships, and a home where, even when money was tight, there was always room for one more person.
It was in that environment that he learned one of the most important things in his life: to care for others.
